Alex R.N. MacAuslandPresident and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. MacAusland, a founder of Western, has over 27 years of management and operational experience in the oilfield services industry in western Canada and the United States. Prior to being appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Western, Mr. MacAusland was President and Chief Operating Officer of Western from December 8, 2009 to December 1, 2013. Mr. MacAusland was also President and CEO of Horizon Drilling Inc., a western Canadian based drilling and service provider, since February 2008. Previously, Mr. MacAusland was Senior Vice President of IROC Energy Services Corp., overseeing Eagle Well Servicing, Mission Drilling and Aero Rentals. Prior to that he was at Precision Drilling Corporation for 15 years in various capacities including Rig Manager and Contract Sales, followed by General Manager and then Vice President Operations responsible for Precision’s well servicing rig fleet, snubbing, camp and catering divisions.
JEFFREY K. BOWERS, CPA, CASenior Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Bowers, a founder of Western, is a Chartered Accountant with over 27 years of financial experience in the oilfield services industry both domestically and internationally. Prior to being appointed Senior Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Western in 2009, Mr. Bowers held the position of Vice President Finance and CFO with Horizon Drilling Inc., a private drilling contractor. Previously, Mr. Bowers was the Chief Financial Officer at FracSource Inc. prior to its divestiture in 2008. Prior to that he was employed at Precision Drilling Corporation, initially as Corporate Controller with Computalog Ltd. followed by Group Controller, Canada for Precision Energy Services. Prior to Precision Drilling Corporation, Mr. Bowers worked for Nowsco Well Service Ltd. in various capacities including Controller of Canadian Operations and Controller of Nowsco’s Asia Pacific Operations based in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Rick M. HarrisonSenior Vice President, Western Field Services and Special Projects
Mr. Harrison has over 37 years of management and operational experience in the oilfield services and manufacturing industry overseeing large capital projects. Starting his career with Kenting Drilling in 1980, Mr. Harrison worked in all field positions in drilling and well servicing. Mr. Harrison was the General Manager of an Alberta based rig and oilfield equipment manufacturer that provided equipment domestically and internationally. Prior thereto, Mr. Harrison was an Operations/Equipment Manager of Eagle Well Servicing and Mission Drilling.
Darcy D. ReinboldtSenior Vice President, Operations
Mr. Reinboldt has over 35 years of management and operational experience in the oilfield service industry in western Canada and the United States. Prior to joining Western, Mr. Reinboldt was the Executive Vice President of the USA Northern Operations for Trinidad Drilling Ltd. from August 1, 2011 to October 1, 2013. Prior thereto, Mr. Reinboldt was Senior Vice President of Operational Support at Trinidad Drilling Ltd. from March 8, 2008 to August 1, 2011.
David G. Trann, CPA, CAVice President, Finance
Mr. Trann is a Chartered Accountant and has over 15 years of financial experience in the oilfield services and oil and gas industry. Mr. Trann joined Western in February 2010 as the Manager, Corporate Reporting, was appointed to Corporate Controller in July 2011, and then appointed to Vice President, Finance in April 2013. Prior to joining Western, Mr. Trann worked for Harvest Energy Trust for four years in various capacities including Supervisor, Corporate Reporting. Prior thereto, Mr. Trann received his Chartered Accountant designation while working at Deloitte LLP.
Peter J. Balkwill, CPA, CAVice President, Operations Finance
Mr. Balkwill is a Chartered Accountant with 30 years of experience in international and domestic oilfield services. Immediately prior to joining Western, Mr. Balkwill held the position of Chief Financial Officer at an internationally focused energy services company and has previously held senior financial positions with Saxon Energy Services, Precision Drilling and Schlumberger.
Dan Lundstrom, CRSP, CSPVice President of Health, Safety and Environment
Mr. Lundstrom is the Vice President of Health, Safety and Environment for Western. He joined Western in April of 2018, and brings over 25 years of oilfield experience and over 23 years of HSE experience. Mr. Lundstrom is currently certified in Canada as a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) and in the United States as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP). Prior to joining Western, Mr. Lundstrom was employed with Precision Drilling Corporation where he held various roles over his 24 year tenure, including, most recently, HSE Director, Global Standards and Compliance.
